Disneyland and Epcot
As the company grew, more films were created, and the Walt Disney Studios turned into a huge franchise. As a result Disneyland was created. Walt Disney was a visionary that created Disneyland with the intention of making, “A place where parents and children can have fun together.” Disneyland opened July 17, 1955 and it was an instant success. This theme park will “never be completed so long as there are ideas.”
Walt Disney’s next project was the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, or better known as Epcot. Instead of the theme park it’s known as today, Epcot was originally supposed to be a town in which people could live, create, and invente new ideas. This city was supposed to be very high tech, always to be one step ahead from the rest of the world. People were supposed to be happy here.
