Adult Years
When he returned from France in 1919, he moved back to Kansas City where his brother Roy, got him a job as a newspaper artist. From there, Disney worked at the Kansas City Film Ad Company, and later created Laugh-O-Grams, which then went bankrupt in 1923. Afterwards, Walt and Roy Disney moved to Hollywood. The cartoonist Ub Iwerks also moved to Hollywood and the three of them created to Disney Brothers’ Studio.
After a few years, on July 13, 1925, Walt married one of his first employees, Lillian Bounds, in Lewiston, Idaho. They later had a daughter named Diane Disney Miller (December 18, 1933 – November 19, 2013) and also adopted Sharon Mae Disney in 1936.
